On this Veterans Day, we gratefully remember the many men and women who have served our country and defended the freedoms we enjoy.

Their unparalleled dedication to duty is the foundation of our wonderful country. We are grateful for all who have served but particularly do we recall on this Veterans Day the many men and women who have paid the supreme sacrifice dying in service to our country.

We entrust them to the Lord of life. May those who have died now rest in his peace. Through their dedication to the service of country, our veterans show us a concern for the common good and a commitment to the good of the community.

There is no better way to honor our veterans and their families than by living our own lives with a dedicated concern for one another and the community which is our country.

Let us keep in prayer those who serve us in the military, particularly those who are in harm’s way.

May our loving God watch over them and care for them as they protect our freedoms.
