BIDDEFORD–John F. Kennedy kindergarten student Peter Graffam, center, was picked up at his home and driven to school in a fire truck last week after he won the Biddeford Fire Department coloring contest. Graffam is shown here with his classmates. The coloring contest followed a school-wide assembly about fire safety. JFK students also were able to participate in other fire-related activities during the week including “escaping” from a house filled with smoke, meeting Sparky the fire dog and exploring fire engines.
