SACO — The 18th annual free Christmas dinner at Traditions Restaurant, 162 Main St., Saco, will be served from 1-3 p.m. Christmas Day.
“No one should be alone or hungry on Christmas,” say event sponsors. Those in need of a free meal or who just want some company on Christmas are invited by the Hadiaris family and their friends, family and neighbors to Traditions Restaurant for a free, family-style Christmas dinner. Dinner choices include home-cooked roast chicken or baked ham with all the fixings served restaurant-style. A wide array of desserts will be provided by the employees of Saco and Biddeford Savings Institution.
To reserve a dinner and/or reserve a table for a group, call 282-9373 before 6 p.m. now through Dec. 22.
If an answering machine picks up, leave a name, the number of people the reservation is for, and a phone number. Calls will be returned to confirm the reservation time.
A limited number of meals are also available for delivery to those residents in Saco, Biddeford and Old Orchard Beach who are unable to leave their home or do not have transportation.
Walk-ins will be served if space allows after those with reservations are seated.
