BIDDEFORD — For the second consecutive week, the University of New England women’s basketball team has moved up in the USA Today Sports Division III Top 25 Coaches’ Poll, this time jumping four spots to 20th in the nation. The ranking was released Tuesday by Andrea Kane of the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association.
Now enjoying their third week being nationally-ranked, the Nor’easters sport a 21-2 record heading into the final week of regular-season play. The Nor’eastrs will play at Curry College tonight at 5:30 p.m., and UNE will conclude the regular season at home Saturday versus Roger Williams University.
DePauw University (Ind.) remains the nation’s top-ranked team, receiving all eight first-place votes.
