SACO — Maurice and Therese Mercier celebrate their 71st wedding anniversary March 17.
The couple wed on March 17, 1943 at St. Andre’s Church in Biddeford with Msgr. Arthur Decary officiating.
They plan to celebrate the anniversary at home with their family.
The couple has three sons, Maurice Jr. of Arundel, Raymond of Alabama and Ron of Poland; five daughters, Annette, Pris, Diane and Carolyn, all of Biddeford, and Lucille of Saco; 31 grandchildren; 57 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.
They were preceded in death by: a son, Ralph; a daughter, Lorraine; a grandchild; and a great-great-grandchild.
