AUGUSTA — The Maine Grocers & Food Producers Association has announced its 2014 Scholarship Program.
“Five Maine students who have successfully completed requirements for graduation from an accredited high school and have been accepted by a college or university will receive $1,000 scholarships,” said Cathe Morrill, association president. “We feel so fortunate to able to provide this assistance to aspiring Maine college-bound students.”
The association is composed of grocery stores, supermarkets, wholesalers and distributors, food and beverage producers, processors and manufacturers and associated service companies.
High school seniors, college freshmen, sophomores and juniors who are employees or children of association member companies are eligible to apply.
The deadline is May 1.
