PORTLAND –– The NBA Development League announced today that Maine Red Claws stars Abdel Nader, Jalen Jones and Marcus Georges-Hunt have been named NBA D-League All-Stars. Nader, Jones and Georges-Hunt become the 11th, 12th and 13th Red Claws all-time to be named All-Stars.

 

Nader, a rookie forward, was a second round (58th overall) selection by the Boston Celtics in the 2016 NBA Draft. Joining the Red Claws as a Draft Rights Player, Nader is 6th in the D-League in scoring, averaging 22.5 points per game to go with 6.1 rebounds and 3.8 assists.

Jones, a rookie forward, is 4th in the D-League with 14 double-doubles this season. Jones has started 31 games for Maine and is averaging 21.5 points and 8.9 rebounds per game.

Georges-Hunt, a rookie guard, has recorded Maine’s only triple-double of the season on Nov. 18 (22 points, 10 rebounds, 13 assists). Georges-Hunt is averaging 16.4 points, 5.8 rebounds and 4.2 assists per game.

The NBA D-League All-Star Game, presented by Kumho Tire, is Saturday, Feb. 18 at 2:30 p.m. at the Verizon Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans. The game will be broadcast live on NBATV.
