SANFORD — The Sanford girls basketball team outscored Massabesic 20-15 in the fourth quarter as the Spartans rallied for a 66-62 win over the visiting Mustangs on Thursday.
Paige Cote finished with 28 points and Jillian Lizotte added 15 to lead the Spartans.
Massabesic was led by Kenzy Ouellette with 22 points. Marissa Holt chipped in 17 points in the loss.
Noble 61, Bonny Eagle 47
Amy Fleming finished with 24 points and Olivia Howard added 11 to power Noble past Bonny Eagle on Thursday.
The Knights would also get 10 points from Tori Exel as they improved to 2-3 on the season.
Boys Basketball
Old Orchard Beach 56, St. Dom’s 31
Zach LaPlante scored 16 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to lead the Seagulls to the win on Thursday.
OOB, which honored former coach John Regan by naming the gym in his honor before the game, would also get 13 points from Ryan Crockett and Jaden Davies added 10 points in the win.
Wells 44, Marshwood 42
The Warriors (3-2) outscored Marshwood 18-10 in the fourth quarter as they rallied for the win on Thursday.
Matt Sherburne finished with 16 points to lead Wells, which also got nine points from Tyler Bridge. Dylan Whitney scored seven points, including nailing a pair of free throws to break a tie with less than 30 seconds left.
