BUXTON — Police here Thursday evening arrested two people in connection with the beating and restraint of a local woman in her home back in April, and are looking for a third suspect.

Stacy Day, 35, was arrested at about 7:30 p.m., said Police Chief Michael Grovo in a brief statement issued early this morning. Gregory Hoar, 29, of Gorham, was arrested at 8:40 p.m. Both were charged with Class A felony robbery and Class B felony aggravated assault. No details were provided on where they were arrested. Both are held in lieu of $30,000 cash bail at York County Jail.

Grovo identified the third suspect as Michael C. Crockett Jr., 30, of Buxton, and said the man is wanted on a warrant charging Class A robbery and Class B aggravated assault. Anyone with information on Crockett’s whereabouts is asked for call Buxton Police at 929-5161 or 929-6612.

The victim, who was not identified by police ”“ though her photograph was released ”“ was reportedly assaulted and tied up by two men and a woman, who reportedly left her on the floor after taking some money and fleeing the residence on April 11. The photograph shows bloody cuts and abrasions to the side of the victim’s face and on her temple, above her eye.

A reward of $3,000 has been issued for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the perpetrators responsible.
