This is the second consecutive year that the Hampton Inn by Hilton in Saco/Biddeford has won this prestigious designation, which places the hotel among the top 10 percent of the past year of more than 2,200 Hampton Inn by Hilton facilities throughout the United States and other countries.
“This award is based on guest feedback and our dedication to customer service, overall guest satisfaction and an infectious spirit that we like to call Hamptonality,” said Ian Pitchforth, sales manager for the Hampton Inn by Hilton in Saco/Biddeford. “Friendly, authentic, caring and thoughtful service is what we define as Hamptonality.”
Pride for winning this award is evident among hotel employees.
“On behalf of the staff, we are extremely honored to receive this brand award,” said Bridget Conley, general manager. “Each day, we look forward to providing exceptional customer service, and ensuring our guests are happy during their stay with us. I am very proud of my team and their efforts.”
Conley, who has worked at the hotel for the past 2 1/2 years, said the award is a culmination of what a great team can achieve when working together.
“It’s definitely because of our staff,” she said. “They work hard and enjoy what they do. We encourage them to have fun at work and it shows with our guests.”
She said she was proud when the Hampton Inn by Hilton in Saco/Biddeford won this award for 2015, but was gratified to have the hotel honored again for 2016.
“We’ve been lucky to win this two years in a row,” Conley said. “It was truly a surprise for us to win this again.”
According to Georgette Gilbert, the hotel’s housekeeping manager, morale among the employees of the Hampton Inn by Hilton in Saco/Biddeford is sky high.
“When I first heard about us winning the award again, I was in disbelief,” Gilbert said. “It is just wonderful because we have worked very hard to give out guests an experience second to none.”
Gilbert said each guest staying at the hotel is treated with the utmost respect and staff members strive to provide quality and value to everyone.
Pitchforth said he believes another factor played a significant role in the hotel winning the award in back-to-back years.
“Consistency of the staff and a high level of customer service is the cornerstone of what we do here,” he said. “Putting customers first is paramount to us.”
He said by offering high quality accommodations and amenities, such as complimentary Wi-Fi and a free hot breakfast, Hampton by Hilton ranks as a leader of large hotel franchises internationally.
The Hampton Inn by Hilton in Saco/Biddeford was built in 2000 and offers 100 guest rooms and 2,000-square feet of meeting space at 48 Industrial Park Road in Saco.
