GORHAM — The Thornton Academy boys basketball team closed out the regular season with a 47-37 win over Gorham on Thursday night.
The Trojans, who enter the Class AA playoffs with a 14-4 record, were led by Payton Jones with 15 points and Dylan Griffin with 12.
Grant Nadeau led Gorham with 10.
York 52, Wells 49
The Warriors (9-9) outscored York 22-17 in the fourth, but it wasn’t enough to complete the comeback on Thursday.
Tyler Bridge finished with 17 points, eight rebounds and four assists to lead Wells, which also got 17 points from Matt Sherburne.
William MacDonald led York (15-3) with 16 points.
Old Orchard Beach 71, Sacopee Valley 57
The Seagulls would get a game-high 23 points from Zach LaPlante as they rolled to the win on Thursday.
OOB (8-10) would also get 16 from Trevor Allen and Ryan Crockett chipped in 10.
Girls Basketball
Massabesic 67, Marshwood 50
Kenzy Ouellette put up 18 points to lead the Mustangs to the win on Thursday.
Massabesic (7-11) would also get 15 points from Madelyn Brassard and Skylar Renaud added 13 in the win.
Old Orchard Beach 52, Sacopee Valley 28
The Lady Gulls used a 22-point performance from Sam Donnell to finish the regular season with a win on Thursday.
OOB (11-7) would also get 10 points from Maggie Strohm and eight from Shani Plante.
Sanford 47, Noble 37
The host Spartans held off a fourth-quarter rally to pick up the win on Thursday.
Paige Cote led the way with 17 points for Sanford. Jillian Lizotte chipped in 14 points in the win.
Noble was led by Raegan Kelly with 14 points.
Kennebunk 43, Falmouth 23
Emily Archibald finished with 15 points as the Rams cruised to the win on Thursday.
Kennebunk (12-6) would also get 10 points from Alaina Schatzabel.
