OGUNQUIT — Ogunquit Police are asking the public’s help as they investigate a series of car burglaries earlier this week.
Police posted on Facebook on Tuesday that the department is investigating a series of motor vehicle burglaries in the Ocean Street, Riverbank Road and Captain Thomas Road areas.
The break-ins took place late Monday night and early Tuesday morning.
Ogunquit Police are asking anyone who saw anything suspicious during this time or have external surveillance in those areas to call them at 646-9362.
Investigators remind the public to ensure that valuables are removed from their cars and that their vehicle doors are locked.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
