SACO — The No. 1 Thornton Academy boys basketball team jumped out to a 15-point lead after the first quarter and never looked back as the Trojans rolled to a 66-29 win over No. 8 Noble on Wednesday.
Jack Pyzynski led the way for TA as he put up 22 points in the win.
The Trojans (15-4) would also get eight points from Ben Ham and seven points each from Robert Gawronski and Payton Jones.
Noble (3-16) was led by Dylan Dube with six points.
TA will face No. 5 Scarborough in the Class AA South semifinals on Tuesday at Cross Insurance Arena in Portland. The game is set for an 8 p.m. start.

No. 1 South Portland 66, No. 8 Thornton Academy 33
The top-seeded Red Riots led by 16 after one as they cruised to the win over Thornton on Wednesday.
Maggie Whitmore led South Portland (18-1) with 23 points.
Thornton Academy, which ends the season with a 4-15 record, was led by Penelope Giorgi with 10 points.
