SACO — Spring arts events at Thornton Academy in Saco promise to entertain, enlighten and inform participants as the school year is nearing an end.
Tickets to any of these event can be purchased online under the Box Office tab at www.thorntonacademy.org/arts.
• May 10, Spring Instrumental Concert, 7 p.m., Garland Auditorium. Seats are reserved and are only $4. This concert will feature the Symphony Orchestra and Concert Band.
• May 11, Art Exhibit Opening Reception: Amongst the Art, 4:30 to 6 p.m., O’Neill Gallery. Free and open to the public, no tickets required.
• May 16 and May 17, Spring Choral Concerts, 7 p.m., Garland Auditorium. Tickets available online. Seats are reserved and are only $4. The spring concert will feature the Treble Choir, the Chamber Singers, and the full Concert Choir with a wide variety of music from Broadway, to African, Pop, Spiritual, and Secular works. This is a very fun concert with lots of energy, movement, and additional accompanying instruments.
• May 23 and May 24, Spring Dance Concert, 7 p.m., Garland Auditorium. Seats are $7 adults and $4 for students.
• May 25, Jazz a la mode, 7 p.m., TA Dining Commons. Tickets are $7.
•May 30, Academy Awards, 7 p.m., Garland Auditorium.
• May 30 to June 6, Senior & AP Art show,, O’Neill Gallery. This is a free and ongoing exhibit.
