BIDDEFORD — The University of New England Center for Excellence in the Neurosciences is partnering with the Biddeford-based arts organization Engine to present a Pain Awareness Month event on Wednesday at 7 p.m. at 265 Main St.
The “PechaKucha” event will consist of a presentation of 20 images, each of which are shown for 20 seconds. The images advance automatically and the speaker talks as the images change.
The event is being presented as part of the Beautify in Blue awareness campaign launched this year by the U.S. Pain Foundation, designed to highlight the bravery of pain warriors during September’s Pain Awareness Month.
The event will include presentations by a UNE faculty member, a student from the UNE College of Osteopathic Medicine, U.S. Pain Ambassadors, and a Sanford resident living with chronic pain.
