Sen. Susan Collins is my hero. I contacted her office last winter requesting assistance from another federal agency. Collins’ staff assistant, Ashley Walukevich, took my phone call. She listened carefully to every word I said, and then acted immediately to ensure that the federal agency provided me with an appropriate response the very next day.

Because of Walukevich’s diligence, competence and responsiveness to my concerns, our matter was promptly resolved. Her actions have made a tremendously positive impact on our family’s well-being. 

I wrote a thank-you note to Susan Collins to express my gratitude. Sen. Collins contacted me directly to thank me for my feedback, and to let me know that her door is always open to help Mainers such as myself. My family has been so impressed with Sen. Collins and her staff that we will remain staunch supporters of her for the remainder of our lives.

Sen. Susan Collins is clearly a person who truly cares about the people of Maine.
