The Maine Lobster Festival in Rockland steamed ahead in spectacular weather Saturday.
Here’s what you missed if you weren’t there: a parade themed “Lobster-Palooza,” led by none other than the newly crowned Sea Goddess herself; a Blindfold Rowboat Race, which tested even the most solid of relationships; views of Rockland Harbor from the top of a Ferris wheel; and a lot of lobster.
But don’t despair! The festival continues today and opportunities for fun abound.
Show up early, and you can still participate in a number of races, one of which includes a Barefoot Runners Division. There’s the famed lobster-crate race. There’s music all day. Carnival rides remain.
And there’s still lobster. Lots of lobster.
