SACO — Two teenage girls missing since Monday are believed to have left of their own accord.

The Saco Police Department posted a notice on social media on Thursday asking for the public’s help in locating two teenage girls from Saco — 16-year-old Katana Plourde and 15-year-old Jessica Gallant.
Katana is 16, 5 foot 5 inches and 135 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. Police say Katana has ties to the Mechanic Falls and South Paris areas.
Jessica is 15 years old, 5 foot 5 inches and 165 pounds with brown hair and black eyes. Police say she has ties to the Westbrook and Bangor areas.
Deputy Police Chief Jack Clements said both girls have been missing since March 11, when they were dropped off to school at Thornton Academy in Saco but did not go to class.
Clements said the two girls knew each other but it’s unknown if they left together.
It is believed the two were not abducted but may have ran away, said Clements; Katana has run away before,
Police are asking anyone with information to call the Saco Police Department at 284-4535.
