WELLS — Those looking for musical entertainment in Wells have a treat in store for them.

The Wells Summer Concert Series will present the Party Starters Band at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, July 8 at Wells Harbor Park in the Hope Hobbs Gazebo.

In the event of rain, the concert will be in Warm Gym at Wells Junior High School on U.S. Route 1.

The Party Starters Band is a newly established five-member band playing music for all ages including Disco, Country, Soul, and Rock ‘n Roll hits from the 1950’s to today.

Oragnizers say the concert will be an evening of good, fun, nostalgic music presented from a scenic, harbor side gazebo and a wonderful way to enjoy summer in Maine.

Admission is free and those attending are asked to bring a blanket or lawn chair and a friend or two.

This is the second concert in the 10 concert summer series in Wells which ends Sept. 2. The full concert series features well known, professional musicians who present various types of music for folks of all ages.

Plenty of free parking is available or take concertgoers can take the Wells Trolley. Admission Refreshments will be sold by the Wells Knights of Columbus (a benefit activity) and there is lots of park bench type seating.
