NEW GLOUCESTER — Two people have been wounded and transported to a Lewiston hospital following a Monday night shooting at a home in New Gloucester.

Steve McCausland, spokesman for the Maine State Police, said the shooting took place at a home on Bennett Road.

McCausland said he is not sure how serious their injuries might be. The assailant fled the scene.
