
Duane was born Aug. 4, 1958, in Biddeford, the son of Malcolm F. and Marion P. Brown Hutchins, and is a graduate of Kennebunk High School, Class of 1977.
A fixture in local restaurants, Duane worked in the kitchens of many of the area’s restaurants, including the former Landing and Unicorn and Lion restaurants.
A people person, he enjoyed hanging with friends after work, especially if there was a band playing live music. He did enjoy taking to the woods hunting, and spending time with friends.
He was preceded in death by: his parents and sisters Beverly Hutchins and Linda Hutchins.
Survivors include his sister Sloan Amadon of Buxton, and his nephew, Evan Amadon of Saco.
A graveside service will be held 1 p.m. Friday, July 7, 2017 at Evergreen Cemetery, Kennebunk.
