WATERBORO — The Waterborough Historical Society is pleased to have Company A of the 3rd Maine Infantry present a living Civil War encampment on Saturday, Aug. 5, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the grounds of the Taylor/Frey/Leavitt House Museum in Waterboro Center.
Step back in time to see soldiers drilling, firing and playing field music. There will also be women dressed in arrire of the period. The field, at the corner of Route 5 and Old Alfred Road, is historically significant as it was once used as a drill field. Bring the family to this special event. Lunch will be available.
