NEW YORK — Thornton Academy’s Tori Daigle finished 19th and 23rd, respectively, in the long jump and triple jump at the New Balance Indoor Nationals track & field meet held Friday through Sunday at The Armory Track & Field Center in New York City.

Daigle jumped 17 feet, 3.25 inches in the long jump Saturday to finish 19th out of 24 competitors. Lake Region’s Kate Hall won the event in a meet and Maine state record leap of 20 feet, 11.25 inches.

Daigle’s best effort in the triple jump at 37 feet, 3.25 inches put her 23rd out of 34 jumpers.

Hall complemented her long jump win with a sixth-place finish in the 60-meter dash. Her time of 7.47 seconds was .01 off her state record time of 7.46 she ran in the prelims.
