NEW FACES
• The following people were hired at SeniorsPlus in Lewiston:
Christopher Mickalide joined the agency as a kitchen aide in the nutrition program.
Catherine Higginbotham was named a member services specialist in the EIM division.
• The following people were hired by S.W. Cole Engineering, Inc.
Nate Strout joined the firm’s office in Bangor as an engineering assistant. He previously worked for S.W. Cole as a seasonal technician.
Chris Raymond joined the firm as a technician. He previously worked for Pike Industries.
Joshua Brown was named laboratory coordinator for its offices in Augusta. He rejoined the firm.
Michael Haynes also joined the Augusta office as a technician.
Erik Cohenour was hired as a technician for its operation in Gray. He is currently in the construction management program at the University of Southern Maine and has experience working for R.W. Gillespie & Associates.
• Julie Slade joined the Samoset in Rockport as a spa director.
Slade previously owned Elegant Nails in Camden, where she was the massage therapist and esthetician, and was involved in the day-to-day operations and employee management.
• Justin Johnson joined Dr. Newton’s Naturals as the evening supervisor for its inbound sales management team.
Johnson has more than 10 years of call center sales experience and advanced training.
• Todd Abbotoni joined Gorham Savings Bank as a vice president and commercial loan officer. Abbotoni worked for TD Bank for the past 18 years.
• Lisa H. Dunning was named manager of KeyBank’s branch on Front Street in Bath.
Dunning, of Bath, is rejoining Key after working as an executive loan officer for Gloria Bryant Mortgage Services. She began her career in 1992 as a branch service manager for KeyBank in Bath.
• Ronald J. Trahan joined KeyBank as branch manager for its Key Plaza branch on Water Street in Augusta.
Trahan, of Gardiner, was previously vice president and Maine branch manager for OneBeacon Insurance Co.
• Chad Sylvester joined the Fontaine Family — The Real Estate Leader in Auburn.
Sylvester, of Sabattus, has an associate broker license and has been selling real estate since 2003.
• Chris Berry joined Winxnet, a Portland-based IT solutions provider, as a help desk technician.
Berry has four years of experience in customer service, computer repair and technical support. Most recently, he worked as residential technician for Staples.
• Jennifer Stonehouse joined Northeast Bank as a mortgage loan officer in Alfred.
Stonehouse, of Alfred, has more than 25 years of experience in mortgage lending and banking.
• Kristen Lynds joined BerryDunn, CPAs and Management Consultants as a staff accountant.
She is a graduate of Husson University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting. She also has a master’s degree in business administration.
• Darron Collins was named president of the College of the Atlantic.
Collins, a 1992 graduate of the college, will be the first alumnus to hold the position.
Collins has been managing international and domestic projects at the World Wildlife Fund for a decade. His most recent position was director of creative assets.
PROMOTIONS
• Pvt. Mark Caron of the Lewiston Fire Department was promoted to lieutenant.
Caron joined the department in 1996 and had worked at the Lisbon Street Station Engine 3. He will be assigned to the Central Station on the department’s Ladder 1.
Lt. Richard Cailler of the Lewiston Fire Department was promoted to captain.
Cailler joined the department in 1987 and served as a private until 2003. He had worked at Main Street Station Engine 5, but will now work at the Central Station.
• Michael J. Neff was promoted to branch manager for KeyBank’s Cape Elizabeth branch at 1234 Shore Road.
Neff, of South Portland, was previously a relationship manager for KeyBank. He joined Key in 2010 and was previously a personal banker for Bank of America in Portland.
Kristina Awalt was promoted to Key’s branch on Hudson Avenue in Guilford.
Awalt, of Lowell, was a retail management associate for KeyBank. She joined Key in 2010 and was previously a substitute teacher for School Administrative District 31 in Enfield.
• Karen Ashley was promoted to a manager for the Sanford Institution for Savings branch in York.
Ashley has been with SIS since 2009 and will continue to manage the SIS Springvale office. She has more than 20 years of experience in financial services.
• Heather Davis was named executive director of The Telling Room.
She was previously a member of its senior development staff.
BOARD APPOINTMENTS
• Eileen Epstein of Falmouth was elected chair of the board of directors of the Maine Community Foundation.
Epstein is a partner at Epstein & O’Donovan, L.L.P. and a fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel. She has also served as president and a director of the Maine Estate Planning Council and as co-chair of the Trusts and Estates section of the Maine Bar Association.
