BIDDEFORD — A unique contest involving deck fastening equipment is coming to Biddeford on Friday and is sure to hit the nail right on the head for participants.

Deering Lumber, a premier lumber and building material supplier to southern and coastal Maine, will host the CAMO® Screw Off!™ competition from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday at 14 Elm St. in Biddeford.

The CAMO® Screw Off! is a head-to-head competition from National Nail offering participants an opportunity to win a 2017 Harley-Davidson® Roadster™ motorcycle and an array of other cash prizes.

“We’ve been selling the CAMO® Deck Fastening system for several years,” said Joe Hondel of Deering Lumber. “Many of our customers are loyal users and love the fast, easy installation and their homeowner customers love the smooth surface without protruding screws on the face of
deck boards.”

Hondel said he expects that the CAMO® Screw Off!™ is going to be a big hit with both customers and store personnel Friday.

“We’ve even set up practice boards at several locations,” he said. “Everyone from store employees to  first-time users have been trying it out.”

The competition has been designed to introduce Maine contractors to the full array of CAMO® deck fastening products, Hondel said.

“For those brave enough to compete in the CAMO® Screw Off!™ qualifying event, contestants will race against the clock in a deck fastening contest to get a chance to win a 2017 Harley-Davidson® Roadster™ motorcycle and other cash prizes at the CAMO®  Screw Off!™ finals being held at the NRLA LBM Expo in Providence, Rhode Island in February 2018,” he said.

Additional CAMO® Screw Off!™ qualifying events will take place at CAMO® stocking dealer locations based in New Jersey and New England throughout the summer.
