HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. — About 2,100 Hofstra University students earned their undergraduate, graduate or law degrees during commencement ceremonies in May at the David S. Mack Sports and Exhibition Complex. 

The following local students earned their degrees:

• Benjamin Lawlor of York earned a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology

•Taylor Ligay of Shapleigh earned a Bachelor of Arts in Film Studies and Production

Students can chose from undergraduate and graduate offerings in liberal arts and sciences, business, engineering and applied science, communication, education, health sciences and human services, honors studies, the Maurice A. Deane School of Law, the Hofstra Northwell School of Graduate Nursing and Physician Assistant Studies, and the Hofstra Northwell School of Medicine.
