Skyline Farm celebration
Skyline Farm’s 9th annual Summer Celebration fundraiser will begin at 9 a.m. Saturday, featuring a silent auction, barn sale, pony rides, horse-drawn carriage rides, children’s activities and a lobster bake.
The silent auction be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 5:30 to 8 p.m. inside the farm’s visitor center. People willing to donate items valued at $25 or more should call 252-9352.
Pony rides will be offered for $5. There will also be face-painting and children’s activities from 10 a.m. to noon. A lobster bake will be held from 5:30 to 7 p.m.
After supper, the museum will be opened featuring an exhibit, “Summer Delivery Vehicles.” The admission is free. The museum will be open from 7 to 8 p.m.
All proceeds benefit Skyline Farm.

Long Creek wreath laying
A wreath-laying ceremony will be held at 4:30 p.m. Monday at the Long Creek Air Memorial to commemorate the lives of the 19 men, women and children killed and wounded in Maine’s worst air disaster.

Tour of Spring Point Light
The South Portland Land Trust is offering a tour of Fort Preble at 9 a.m. Saturday.
The tour will be led by Helen Slocum, a board member. Participants should meet at the parking area at Spring Point Lighthouse.

Bunny-knitting workshop
A workshop, “Knit A Bunny,” will be offered from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Sabbathday Lake Shaker Village on Route 26.

R & R Spinners will hold a demonstration of their traditional skills at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Sabbathday Lake Shaker Village, Route 26.

A social for men and women ages 50-years-old and older will be held 5-8 p.m. Saturday at the Henry Pennell Municipal Building, 24 Main St.
Steve Morse will give a talk on Mount McKinley, Alaska excursion, and there will be a potluck supper.
