BIDDEFORD — Police in Biddeford are asking for the public’s help in locating a driver involved in an accident on Sunday afternoon in the city.

According to Biddeford Police Deputy Chief JoAnne Fisk, officers were called at an accident about 2:10 p.m. Sunday at the intersection of Elm Street and Center Street in Biddfeord.

“We need the public’s assistance in locating the vehicle and operator,” Fisk said.

In the accident, a 63-year-old Biddeford man was crossing the street when a white vehicle traveling southbound on Elm Street struck him, Fisk said.

“The operator of the vehicle, a female, got out of her vehicle asked if the pedestrian was all right and then left the scene,” she said.
