Among the sun worshippers hitting the beach over the weekend was this seal who was spotted in the area of Webhannet Beach in Wells. Those who see seals on the beach are cautioned to stay at least 150 feet away, according to a Wells Police Department Facebook posting. In addition, don’t attempt to push a seal back into the water or cover it with a towel. If a seal is marooned on a beach, contact Marine Mammals of Maine at 800-532-9551 or the WPD at 646-9354.
