
She was born on March 20, 1925, in Biddeford to the late Arthur and Bertha (Blais) Lemire. She graduated from Biddeford High School, class of 1943.
On Jan. 8, 1949, she married Carmel “Jeff” Saucier at St. Andre’s Church in Biddeford. They spent 51 years together until his death on April 21, 2000.
Therese spent 15 years working at Lemire’s Furniture Store. She then spent three years at Maremont Corp as an inspector for the US government. She went on to Biddeford Distributors for the next 19 years. After that she spent five years at the University of New England before retiring in 1982. She enjoyed doing ceramics, volunteering for the Notre Dame de Lourdes School Lunch Program and was an avid reader.
She is preceded in death by: her three sisters, Rita Roy, Claire LaSante and Irene Lemire; and her brother, Leo Lemire.
Therese is survived by: her son, Rene R. Saucier and his wife, Belinda, of Yarmouth; two grandsons, Garth Saucier and his wife, Courtney, of Yarmouth, Brian Saucier and his wife, Karie, and their daughters, Kaelynn and Kylie, all of New Gloucester.
Visiting hours will be 10 a.m. until noon on Monday, Oct. 30, 2017, at Hope Memorial Chapel 480 Elm Street, Biddeford, ME 04005. A funeral service will follow at Noon at the funeral home. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery in Biddeford. To share condolences online, please visit HopeMemorial.com.
