SPRINGVALE – Local author Shawn P. Sullivan will discuss and sign copies of his new book, “Islands in the Chaotic Ocean of Life,” at Springvale Public Library on Thursday, Nov. 9, at 4 p.m.
Released in August, the book is a collection of slice-of-life columns that Sullivan wrote between 2006 and 2014, during his time as editor of the former weekly newspaper, The Sanford News.
The book chronicles the comedic and heartwarming highlights of Sullivan’s life as a family man and also follows his father’s brave and devastating seven-year battle against ALS.
