Kennebunk cruises past Marshwood
The Kennebunk High boys’ golf team defeated Marshwood at Webhannet Golf Course in Kennebunk in a season-opener for both schools.
Playing nine holes on the par-35 course, the Rams had a team medal of 294 to Marshwood’s 321, and won each of the six individual matches.
Kennebunk sophomore Cole Binnette had the lowest score of the day, shooting a 44 to defeat Zach Glidden, who led the Hawks with a score of 49.
Noble outlasts Sanford
The Noble High boys’ golf team won four of six individual matches to beat the Spartans at Sanford Country Club in a season-opener for both squads.
Cheyanne Cortue paced the Knights, shooting a 49 on the nine-hole, par-35 course. Noble had a team medal of 247 to Sanford’s 282.
Sanford junior Zachary Tremblay posted the lowest score of the day, shooting 44.
