BIDDEFORD/SANFORD – October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and Southern Maine Health Care is offering free mammograms to women in the community age 40 or older without active breast problems and who do not have insurance.
there will be screenings in Biddeford and in Sanford.
Registration is required and appointments are available on a first come, first served basis, SMHC officials said. Call 283-7832 to schedule a free appointment by Oct.1.
Screenings will be 1:15 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Goodall Medical Office Building at Sanford Medical Center, 25 June St. on Oct. 11.
In Biddeford, screenings will be 3 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. on Oct. 31 at the Center for Breast Care, SMHC Medical Center, 1 Medical Center Drive.
