PORTLAND — Portland officials have declared a city-wide parking ban from tonight through Friday morning.
The city joins several other communities that have declared parking bans including Westbrook, Biddeford, Falmouth, Yarmouth, Windham, Gorham, Scarborough and Brunswick.
The length of the bans will vary, with some lasting into Friday.
The Portland parking ban runs from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.
Cars towed from Portland streets during the ban will be taken to the impound lot at the Ocean Gateway International Marine Terminal, 40 Commercial St.

The city also announced that City Hall would be closing at 3 p.m.
