Maine State Police is leading an investigation into the suspicious death Sunday of 42-year-old Michelle Minor on 23 Brown St. in Westbrook.

According to Westbrook Police Capt. Sean Lally, Westbrook police officers responded to the Brown Street apartment at 8:20 a.m. Sunday following a report of a deceased person.

“During the initial investigation some facts and circumstances arose that prompted a request for assistance to the Maine State Police,” the release states. “MSP Detectives responded to the scene and have taken the lead in the death investigation with Westbrook PD providing assistance to them.”
