Antique car tour
makes stop in town

The 71st Glidden AAA Revival Tour featuring pre-1943 automobiles will stop for a coffee break in Bridgton on Thursday, Sept. 15. Depot Street, behind Reny’s, will be closed to traffic from 7:30-10:30 a.m. so that the antique cars can park along the road and be on display to the public. Car and history buffs will be able to view the antique autos and talk to their owners during their stay in town.

The tour is the oldest, largest and most prestigious antique car event in the country and features hundreds of rare, restored pre-1943 automobiles. This is the first time since 1998 that the tour has been in New England. The event will begin in North Conway, N.H., and travel around that area as well as parts of western Maine, including Bridgton.
