Windham police made two sets of crack cocaine-related arrests in two nights last week.
Officer Brandon Ladd noticed a car stopped in the middle of the road late at night on Thursday, May 10 in the Mineral Springs Road area. The driver, Terri Cook, 38, was out on bail for possession of a controlled substance and a condition of her release was that she could be searched at any time.
Officer Bill Andrew and police dog Max were called in and 8 grams of crack cocaine were allegedly found in individual baggies. Cook and her passenger, Keith F. Felker 44, of Portland, were arrested for possession and trafficking.
On Friday evening, Hannah Whitcher, 18, of Raymond and Ryan Works, 20, of Windham, were stopped near the Windham-Gray line by officer Ernie MacVane. Police say the vehicle contained crock cocaine and marijuana and the pair was arrested for possession and trafficking.
All four suspects were taken to Cumberland County Jail.
