Until Tuesday, September 20, the Elks Club of Lewiston will be accepting donations to fill a tractor-trailer truck headed for Oak Grove, Louisiana. The local drop-off spot is at the home of Mary Jabbusch of Casco. For more information call 627-7509.

Thursday, September 22, 5 to 9 p.m. at Keeley the Katerer on Warren Avenue in Portland. Three city fundraiser with proceeds donated to the Red Cross. Music, games and Karaoke with a cash bar and light refreshments

Saturday, Oct. 1, Derek Pattle and friends will be selling beaded bracelets at the Windham Wal-Mart to raise money for the Red Cross. $2 each, three for $5 or 10 for $15.

Sunday, Oct. 16, from noon until closing. The Lake Region Eagles on Route 302 in Windham will host the Down East Country Music Association in a benefit with a buffet, bake sale, auction and raffle. All proceeds donated to the Salvation Army. Three bands will perform with some local entertainment, including Christopher Frost of Windham, Tux Burke of Naples and Teresa Seavey of Windham.

Maine Bank and Trust has partnered with Bisson Moving and WMSJ for Operation Reach Out. They are asking for donations of cash, water and non-perishable food. You may bring your donations to the bank, where they have a box set up in the lobby.
