The Frozen Ropes Maine youth baseball team from Westbrook is headed to Cooperstown, N.Y. to compete in the American Youth Baseball Hall of Fame Invitational Tournament next week.

Throughout the summer, there are 12 weekly tournaments. In late August, 96 of the top teams that competed in the tournaments will participate in the National American Tournament of Champions in Cooperstown to crown a 12-and-under national champion.

Players on the Frozen Ropes Maine roster are Zack Bean, Austin Blake, Derek Bouchard, Derek Breunig, Ben Greenberg, Kyle Heath, Collin Joyce, Kaleb Kent, Logan McCarthy, Marty Pena, Andrew St. Clair and Chandler Todd. The team is coached by Ken Bean, Dan McCarthy and Orlando Pena.
