U.S. Sen. Susan Collins has awarded Carissa Hoosline of Scarborough an internship in her Washington, D.C.,

office. Hoosline recently completed an internship in Collins’s

Portland office.

“Congressional internships are extremely beneficial in providing recent graduates with the opportunity to gain professional experience and knowledge of the legislative process,” said Collins. “As always, I am happy to provide young Mainers the chance to serve their communities. Carissa is a

welcome addition to my team in Washington.”

Hoosline is a 2002 graduate of Scarborough High School and a 2006 graduate of the University of Southern Maine. She graduated with a political

science degree and was secretary of the Political Science Student Association.

She is the daughter of Jim and Linda Hoosline of

Scarborough.

Carissa Hoosline of Scarborough will be working in the Washington, D.C., office of Sen. Susan Collins.
