Schoolhouse Arts Center at Sebago Lake is offering a Spring Arts Camp during April school vacation (April 16-20) for children ages 6 to 13.
Classes will be offered in art, voice, crafts, dance, science, guitar, storybook theater, musical theater, painting and stagecraft. The camp will run Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuition for Spring Arts Camp 2007 is $170. Family discounts and payment plans are available.
Campers will spend some time indoors as well as out, working on artwork and craft projects using a variety of interesting materials. They’ll have the chance to learn how to sing or play the guitar, as well as learn some jazz dance steps and play theater games.
Campers will also have the opportunity to participate in many hands-on science activities, learn quilting or costume making, or learn about color dynamics and composition in painting class. For those who like to create their own stories, creative writing will give them a chance to get their stories down on paper. Musical theater and storybook theater will give campers the opportunity to perform on stage, while stagecraft will teach them some backstage skills.
