Gorham’s Dan Foley was voted off the CBS reality show “Survivor” Wednesday night, ending his pursuit of the $1 million prize as the sole survivor.

Episode 13 of this season’s show proved to be an unlucky number for Foley. But he received a standing ovation at his viewing party in the packed Thatcher’s Restaurant in South Portland.

“I have zero regrets,” Foley told the crowd. “This whole thing was a dream come true.”

“Survivor” airs weekly on WGME TV 13.

This season’s “Survivor” show was filmed in Nicaragua last summer and the show premiered on Feb. 25 with 18 cast members. The object was not to get voted off by fellow cast members.

Going into Wednesday night’s episode, Foley had been one of six remaining cast members. Foley and his wife, Erin, will be in Los Angeles for the show’s finale on Wednesday, May 20.

The popular Foley, a technician at the postal distribution plant in Scarborough, has hosted weekly viewing parties to watch the show with local fans and friends. This week a surprise guest at the party was “Survivor” cast member Rodney Lavoie of Boston.
