William Will, 75, of Alfred, was pronounced dead Thursday at the scene of a two-car crash on the Bernard P. Rines Highway (Route 112) in Gorham.
Lt. Christopher Sanborn of Gorham Police Department said in a report that Will, who was traveling north in a 1999 Chevrolet Blazer, drifted across the centerline into the southbound lane. Police said he struck a 2008 Hyundai driven by Brenda Moss, 45, of Jackson, N.H. head on at 2:30 p.m..
Police said Moss and a passenger were both transported to Maine Medical Center in Portland with non-life threatening injuries.
Eyewitnesses told Gorham police two vehicles traveling south had swerved to avoid a collision with Will and police said Moss was unable to avoid a collision.
