Eugene G. Ardito, President/CEO of cPort Credit Union announced last week the winner of the Super cPort Prize Drawing is Gene Connolly of Casco. Connolly will receive an all-expense paid week-long trip for two to his choice of Venice, Italy; Amsterdam, Netherlands; or Dublin, Ireland.

Connolly’s name was randomly selected on Sept. 7 from hundreds of contest entry forms. Steve Johnson, another cPort Credit Union member from Gray selected the winning name.

“I can’t believe out of all of those people we won,” Connolly said. He entered the contest in mid-May when the Super cPort Prize Drawing was launched to celebrate the announcement of the credit union’s new name as cPort Credit Union from Government Employees Credit Union of Maine.

“The credit union has been with us through thick and thin and has helped us a lot,” Connolly said.

Gene and his wife Ellen have been members of the credit union for over 18 years and live in Casco with their two children, Kate and Alex. The couple plans to take the trip to Venice, Italy next spring to celebrate their 22nd wedding anniversary.

“Gene and Ellen are long-time, active members of cPort CU, and I am very pleased that they will be enjoying a week at a famous seaport abroad as winners of our Super cPort grand prize” Ardito said.
