Scarborough Police are asking that drivers avoid Gorham Road between Payne Road and Route 1 due to a sewer break.

While the road is not closed, police are asking drivers to seek an alternative route if possible.

According to Scarborough Police, the break happened at about 12:40 p.m. Police do not yet know why the break happened or when it will be fixed, but do not expect repairs to be finished before midnight.
