The road safety working group of Cape Elizabeth is inviting members of the public to discuss traffic safety for the town on Thursday, Sept. 28, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the town hall.

The discussion of traffic will cover everything from slowing automobile traffic to pedestrian and bike friendliness. Ideas addressed at recent meetings include lowering speed limits, installing speed bumps, creating a pedestrian trail system and improving sidewalks.

Any suggestions or comments from citizens may be e-mailed to the group at any time at capeclrk@maine.rr.com or dropped off at town hall.

Members of the group include town councilors, Town Manager Michael McGovern, Police Chief Neil Williams as well as citizens and developers.
