Boffa in concert
Tony Boffa will entertain in a free summer concert 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 17, in Riverbank Park on Main Street.
The concert is the finale in the summer concert series at the park.

Back to school swap
For relatives who are stepping in to raise a child, a back-to-school items swap can help out.
Donate a bag or more or take a bag of laundered, gently worn clothes for ages from infant through adult to Maine Kids-Kin office, 869 Main St., Westbrook, Friday, Aug. 12, from 9 a.m.-3 p.m.
Besides clothing, donations of books and toys also will be accepted on Thursday, Aug. 11, or take items Friday.

A yard sale to benefit the Animal Refuge League of Greater Portland will be held 9 a.m.-2 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 13.
A car wash will be held 11 a.m.-2 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 14. Both events are at 449 Stroudwater St.
Wescott excels
in academics
William Wescott of Westbrook has been named to the dean’s list for the spring semester at Nichol’s College in Dudley, Mass.
Seniors planning trip
Ann McAlpine said Westbrook Senior Citizens are planning a trip to see a Scottish highlands event on Tuesday, Sept. 13, in the Meadowbrook U.S. Cellular Pavilion in Gilford, N.H.
The show includes music with drum majors and bagpiper. The event includes luncheon, transportation and the show.
