The Gray-New Gloucester Business Association welcomed new members with a ceremonial ribbon cutting on last Monday for First Impressions Hair Salon and A Finished Look Nail Salon. Both businesses are located at 14 Main Street in Gray Village. The new members invite everyone to a shared Open House on Saturday, Nov. 10 from 2-4 p.m.

Carmen Neal is the owner of First Impressions Hair Salon at 14 Main Street in Gray. She’s had her own business for three years at this location, and has been styling hair in the area for nine years. She said she likes her Main Street location because of its high visibility.

Becca Rice, owner of A Finished Look Nail Salon, is from the area but recently moved her salon from Portland to Gray. The biggest difference she’s found is that in Portland folks are more able to schedule manicures during the day, here in Gray, more folks

need afternoon and evening appointments. Rice is fully licensed and has more than seven years experience as a nail technician. She specializes in pink and white acrylics for the permenant French manicure look. Walk-ins are welcome, but scheduling an appointment is preferred.
