Case Management for Youth, Inc. (CMY) Mentor Program is looking for male mentors for children in the South Casco and Standish communities who need a caring adult in their lives.
A mentor is needed for a South Casco 10-year-old boy who likes sports and games, computers and drawing. He is an only child and has limited opportunities to try new things outside of the home or school, and school has not been a positive experience for him. He needs an encouraging, positive, male role model who can help him build his confidence, encourage him and have fun with him.
An 11-year-old boy in Standish who loves to ride his bike and do other outdoor activities also needs a male mentor. He also enjoys card and board games, music, computers, cooking, go-carts, video games and writing. He wants a mentor with whom he can have one-to-one time outside of his home and who can help him build his confidence. He is available most days after school and on weekends. He has been waiting for a mentor for over six months.
Think about the people who encouraged you and helped you to reach where you are today. You could be that role model for these young people, or someone like them.
