From 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Tuesday, May 30, Maine Audubon is offering a trip to explore Mount Auburn Cemetery in Cambridge, Massachusetts. And Margi Huber of Windham is leading the event.
“Mount Auburn Cemetery is one of the country’s most beautifully designed landscapes-and great bird habitat,” said Huber, Maine Audubon’s trips and tour coordinator.
The group will tour and learn the history of the cemetery, which is designated a National Historic Landmark. Afterwards, participants are invited to explore on their own.
The trip is led by Huber, a graduate of the National Outdoor Leadership School, who has ten years of experience leading public trips.
The trip is $55 for Maine Audubon members, $65 for non-members. Price includes tour and round-trip transportation from Falmouth. Advance registration is necessary; to register, call at 781-2330, ext. 215.
